While living in Hawaii Chantel found her way to a yoga class at her local YMCA. During that time in her life Chantel suffered from insomnia, mild anxiety and mild depression. Chantel's first savasana was like coming home. Subsequently through savasana, Chantel learned to put herself to sleep at night. It was through developing a Hatha yoga practice that Chantel's practices of meditation and devotion strengthened. Chantel completed her yoga teacher training in 2005 at Yoga Hawaii with Prem, Rupali and a terrific group of yogis. Chantel has a particular affection for Ashtanga yoga. While she fought the routine of it initially, she has grown to appreciate the structure of the practice. Chantel's intention in teaching yoga is to share the joy she has found through the practice with laughter, wit, compassion and sweat.
